How Stupid we can be.

To that line above, there is no limit.
I quote Dumbledore  "Humans have a knack for choosing precisely the things that are worst for them."
Supposedly the brilliant creatures on this planet ( I disagree) , yet  we end up making these choices which make us miserable ! Oh , so miserable !
But we being the sane people go along with it no matter what or how bad it might seem logically we just have to ignore everything else and everyone besides us.
Out of our free will we choose this idiotic meaningless senseless decisions , options or whatever you may  wish to call them and then you are stuck in that stinking hole forever unless you have an epiphany.

The Philosophers curse

Immanuel Kant
Edward Bullough
Jose Ortega Y Gasset
Theodor Lipps
Virgil C. Aldrich
Yeah, Aesthetics. Hours and hours spent on pondering over four pages. And when you finally get what they are saying, you are like - wait seriously? Could you possibly make it not so complicated!
when I look back at my simple version of their concoction . I smile,  if someone would've put forth that to people,  I guess no one would have entertained them, probably that happened or not (it is not relevant) , plus if it was all so simple we never would have bothered.
( I feel we often chase things out of our reach and head for all the resulting tangles ourselves )
So enraged,
'' Now you may all rot in our words (and dictionaries) ''
they said.

Random nice people #1

I was traveling by train as usual, seated in front of me was this old lady, a woman enters the full compartment and asks if anyone's getting off in the next few stops she and I both say mulund.
Then the old lady smiled at me again and said  'You too Mulund?' ( with a cute south Indian accent)
I smiled and said yes.
She smiled again. I smiled back.
She gave me those whole hearted warm smiles,
this woman had a peculiar huge I-will-melt-you-to-the-ground smile.
We got off at Mulund
She smiled again and said 'Aap dur rete ho?'
to which I replied 'nahi sirf rickshaw lena padega'.
With a worried face,
she said to me 'Oh dur hai ,thik se Jana beta,  mein toh yahi reti hu.'
I smiled and wished her good night.
'Good Night beta, nice meeting you.bye.' she said with a fat smile.
Though it was a normal conversation, people don't take time off today to talk to people around them and here I met one warm person happy person and she made me feel lovely.
Random nice people who make your day. :)

Letter #2

How stupid we all are!  That you knew ages ago,  sigh.  If everyone knew how precious life is I bet we would never be fighting over trivial things. All these small things which upset you,  ruin your day,  weeks maybe , all the fights,  petty issues,  why. Why do we forget all the beautiful,  kind,  wonderful things, stories, people out there and waste our time and energy on things which will never matter,  why,  why do people do that all the time?  Everywhere? Every single day?  Every second every minute there is a fight going on. Please if only there was something to make it all stop. I know you can't help. I wish you could. I would have loved to listen to what you've got to say.
Love.

Sigh.Then there are these people

Then there are these people who just go on and on about how much people suck and what some people lack and like 'Ohh ya ya she is like that and he is like this!' I just wish for once they would shut up and take a look at themselves! It seems as if they have this unquenchable thirst to satisfy their need to feel better about themselves, so they will go on babbling to people about how bad someone's work or someone is, their qualities and they'll go 'Ohh ya you know his that blah blah is not so nice '
They have driven me mad enough to blog about them .Always around, alas the woes of studying in a stupid ass college who just loves to eat our money.
P.S.-More about my waste sad college in the blog posts to come!

The irony

I am an art student, the professors who lecture us they are more well versed with hindi and marathi than english.
In our orientation program at college , we had an Indian artist coming in , his artwork was excellent , but he wasn't that good in english. The people ( Oh and these people are some of my very own batch mates and seniors) around me instantly started chattering about how bad his english is , they did not bother even for a second to look at his work, to pay attention at what he is presenting, I was in love with his surrealistic paintings, the video art , they were brilliant. But these people start laughing, giggling over his broken english , making fun of the artwork.

There was an animated video which was on display,
The video consisted of teeny weeny houses, you could see 13-17 houses at a glance and they were simple basic houses open with just walls on 2/3 sides with windows and sloping roofs.
The back ground was black and the houses were psychedelic pink purple green.
The camera was taken through these houses from one house to another and another, it went on for full 5minutes ,then an abrupt end.
I was confused.
The artist started explaining you must have been wondering for 5mins you were waiting for something to happen for something to pop out or some change or drama but in the end nothing happens. He explained it is life,  those times where you just wait and wait for something to happen but there is nothing.
So it is just about that frustrating, annoying, longing that something is about to occur.
I smiled. It made such sense, but these people after the artist explained they are like ''OMG how boring'' again started giggling and mimicking his broken english.
This was not the worst part,

Last week we had a lecture from an art curator from milan and she couldn't speak english at all.She had a piece of paper from which she was reading words and some 2-3 pronouns and showing some slides and she was so lost , she did not know what she was talking about. Then another guy took over and explained the stuff to us.The same people who were laughing/cursing the earlier indian artist for his broken english now went ''OMG she is so cute,so cute, very nice''
 'how cute is her english'
  'atleast she tried'
Funny thing I heard some one say "uska art work kya tha" it is funny because she was a curator and she was showing artworks of artists from milan.
All this coming from students studying arts in an art institute and they wonder why people dont appreciate art.The irony.
I smiled.Weird.

Loka kai boltil

Seriously this is one line which I detest. It is the first thing that comes out of some people's mouth.
As if they were born only to please people.
It is downright annoying when you tell them a plan maybe an idea or a passing thing and they go "Arrey Baap re, loka kai boltil?" or "log kya bolenge?" combined with their pathetic astonished look. It isn't just restricted to things that you have done .They will say that to things you are going to do, you are hoping to do, or even if you happen to mention it by mistake. But no they wont rest in peace even after LKB' bing your plans etc etc. Then they 'happen' to know every shitty thingy going nearby you ,they will make one conversation about it, you are uninterested ; they drag you down in that conversation, No/Yes dont satiate their needs, they will stick to you like headlice where only giving satisfactory answers will make em go away.
Worst part: These are unavoidable bumheads.
